Mission Statement: The Providence Police Department’s Division of Narcotics, Firearms and Organized Crime is empowered to conduct aggressive investigations of drug trafficking, organized crime, and the illegal sale or possession of firearms in order to ensure the safety and improve the quality of life of the Providence community. The division’s officers are committed to carrying out their mission while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct. The Division promotes partnerships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to successfully investigate and prosecute individuals and members of organized groups as a means of deterring and preventing criminal activities. The Division places special emphasis on partnering with district commanders and community groups in order to achieve these goals.
